Many people may thing that spring is a bad time for sports, with football season being over. However, I enjoy spring because of baseball season, and think one of the best things to do is sit back, relax, and watch my favorite teams play on Direct TV.

I did not use to get so excited about spring sports, being a football player and all, but after playing some baseball, and going to a few games, I can genuinely say I really enjoy watching the game now. I have always been a long time Chicago White Sox fan, ever since frank thomas played for them.

If I am not watching Chicago games, I try and find the games with the best pitching match ups. Call me old fashioned, but I do not enjoy watching home runs being hit nearly as much as I enjoy watching pitchers like Roy Halladay, Ubaldo Jimenez, David Price, and Tim Hudson pitch. And if you are lucky enough, you might catch a gem like the perfect game Dallas Braden pitched.

While football will always be my favorite sport, enjoying a well played baseball game on a perfect spring day is an American tradition that I will also enjoy.
